Greater Truckee

Winter is truly a magical time in the town of Truckee. With four world class ski areas within 20 miles of Truckee, there is outstanding skiing and snowboarding for all abilities, ranging from the extreme terrain and off piste skier to the more family oriented intermediate skier. Northstar at Tahoe, Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows, and Sugar Bowl all offer all that you have come to expect at a world class ski area.

The Greater Truckee area covers those areas that are just east of Donner Lake to approximately 8 miles east of Downtown Truckee, then south to highway 267 and approximately 4 miles north of highway 89. Some of the areas included are Armstrong Tract, Cambridge Estates, Glenshire, Greay’s Crossing, Old Greenwood, Juniper Creek/Hills, Pine Forest, Pinyon Creek, Ponderosa Palisades, Prosser Lakeview Estates, Sierra Meadows, and Winter Creek

The proximity to the San Francisco bay area, Reno International airport, and Sacramento adds to the ease of lifestyle that Truckee has to offer.
